Our sympathy and prayers are extended to the family of Mark Brown, formerly of the Maddensville area. Mark was the son of Harriet and the late Donald Brown.

Gordon and Donna Locke attended Ag Progress Days and provided support for Terri Grissinger’s agricultural education students participating in the Farm Safety Quiz Bowl competition.

Enjoying Ag Progress Days on Tuesday were Nook, Janet and Ryan Brown and Nick, Shannon, Codi, Casey and Callie Brown.

Congratulations to Brenden and Holden Lupey on their placing at the Fulton County Fair with their female Boer goats. Camden Lupey also showed a goat with some help from his dad, Jim Lupey.

Micah Ramsey, son of Brian and Emily Ramsey, enjoyed staying with grandparents Roger and Pat Ramsey last weekend. Brian, Emily and Micah Ramsey visited again on Thursday evening.

Visiting recently with the Steve Grissinger family were Tim and Tanner Fields, Travis Madden, Travis, Tanya, Tristen and Ty Hall, Norm and Janet Sipes, Brent Carlson, Gordon and Donna Locke, and Tom and Mamie Streightiff.

Angel Wings will be sponsoring a benefit ham potpie dinner with cole slaw, bread and dessert on Sunday, Sept 18, at Orbisonia UMC Outreach Center. Buffet will be served from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. with takeouts available. All proceeds are to benefit Holly ( Mills) North, daughter Majerle and family. Monetary donations for desserts and hams would be appreciated to help defray costs. Donated items can be dropped off at Penn Central Physical Therapy in Orbisonia.

The date and location for the annual Christmas bazaar for Angel Wings has been changed. It will be held at Orbisonia Lions Club building the last weekend in October. Vendors can contact Deb Snyder at 814- 599-8687 to reserve a spot.

Zumba Fitness classes will be held at the Saltillo gym on September 3, 17 and 24 and October 1 and 8 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Three Springs Area Volunteer Fire Co. will have a ham dinner on September 11 beginning at 11 a.m.
