Natural Gas Exploration Meeting Set

Penn State Cooperative Extension will hold a workshop, “Natural Gas Exploration and Your Community,” on Tuesday, September 20, 2011, at the Reality Theatre, corner of Rt. 913 and Church Street, Robertsdale. The meeting will start at 6 p.m., and end at approximately 8:30 p.m. Speakers from extension and the field will discuss the fundamentals of drilling operations, community, economic and water impacts, and issues.

Contact the Huntingdon County Extension Office to register to attend at 814- 643-1660. Most prior participants of these workshops have a greater understanding of the Marcellus shale exploration and how it can affect them and their community. This course is intended to inform you of the development of natural gas in the region, how it can influence you and the community, and concerns you may need to address as a landowner and member of a community with property within the Marcellus shale.
