Cancer Society Seeking Volunteers

The American Cancer Society (ACS) Daffodil Days of Fulton County is gearing up to start planning for the 2012 campaign, and the society needs your help! There are many ways to get involved in this campaign, depending on how much time you have to commit and what interests you have. Any amount of time donated, from and hour to an entire day, is appreciated!

The daffodil is the first flower of spring, and is the perennial American Cancer Society symbol of hope for cancer patients throughout the community. The dollars raised through Daffodil Days enable the ACS to save more lives and create more birthdays by helping people stay well, helping people get well, by finding cures and by fighting back.

The Daffodil Days committee is seeking volunteer help to chair subcommittees, recruit new pre-sale coordinators, recruit sponsors, create newsletters, unpack and deliver daffodils, and much more. Although Daffodil Days week is not until March 19-23, the committee will start its annual planning in September.

To learn more about this volunteer opportunity or to become part of the 2012 committee, please call Jennifer Kessel, income development representative for the American Cancer Society, at 717-264-6266 or contact her at jennifer.kessel@cancer.org.
