The Fulton County Hunter/Trapper Education course will be held Thursday, September 8, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday, September 10, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Fulton County Pistol and Rifle Club. From Mc- Connellsburg take Rt. 522 north about one mile. Turn right onto McGovern’s Lane and proceed approximately 2/10 mile to club. Preregistration is required by clicking yes on PGC Web site at www.pgc.state.pa.us. Click on Education/Hunter Education class schedule. Class limit is 65 students. Bring a bag lunch Saturday. Carwash Multi-County Diabetic Walk will hold a carwash and bake sale at Great Cove Auto Sales August 27 from 9 a.m. to noon. AARP Safe Driving Course AARP Safe Driving course is a classroom refresher course for safe driving and will be offered at Hustontown Senior Center September 28 and 29. Classes are from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Both days of classes are required to be eligible for the three-year auto insurance discount. No testing involved. Payment is required before classes begin and checks can be made payable to AARP. Cost is $12 for AARP members and $14 for nonmembers. Four new displays are featured at the Fulton House Museum, which is open free to visitors every Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. until Labor Day. Displays include memorabilia from the Crystal Spring Camp Meeting in recognition of its 125th anniversary; items from previous anniversaries of the founding of McConnellsburg; more than 100 postcards in albums and on display sheets; and a special Stunkard long rifle on loan from John Gracey. Many items from the permanent collection of the Fulton County Historical Society are also on display. Additional hours may be scheduled in advance by calling 717-485-3172 or 485-3412.
