Homecoming Sideling Hill Christian Church will be celebrating its annual homecoming on Sunday, September 4. Services include Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. Worship services at 10:30 a.m., followed by a basket lunch at noon. An afternoon service will be held at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Delmas Bard providing the message. There will also be a hymn sing at 7 p.m. All are welcome, please join in the worship and fellowship. The church is located at 10424 Sipes Mill Road, Needmore. Rehobeth Cemetery Association’s annual homecoming services will be held at Rehobeth United Methodist Church Sunday, September 4, at 2 p.m. Pastor Frank Kocek will be in charge with Rev. Harold Hollister, Mont Alto UM Church, as guest speaker. Revs. Harold and Ruth Hollister will also minister in song. Special music will be “The New Cross Roads” from Berkeley Springs and surrounding areas. Memorial gifts by mail are appreciated. Lunch will be in the pavilion after the service. Meats, breads, desserts, drinks and utensils are furnished; however, a covered dish would be appreciated. Everyone is welcome. Rehoboth New Life will be holding its second annual community block party Saturday, September 3, at the Needmore Firehall from noon til 4 p.m. The day will feature free clothes/toys, free food and drinks, free games, moon bounce, slide and many giveaways, including four bicycles. There will also be live Christian music featuring some local ministries, singers and special guest Phillip Johnson. Bring family and lawn chairs and enjoy the afternoon. The second annual Motorcycle Sunday will be held Sunday, September 11, at Mercersburg Mennonite Church, 10060 Buchanan Trail West, Mercersburg. Fellowship meal will follow along with an afternoon ride. Pastor Eshelman and the congregation invite all, including motorcycle enthusiasts, to attend. McConnellsburg Women’s Bible Study (MWBS) will be starting an eight-week Bible study on Thursdays, beginning September 15, from 9:30 a.m. to noon, at Cito United Methodist Church. This study is called “The Invisible War” by Chip Ingram and deals with the reality that every born-again believer faces that of spiritual warfare. Refreshments and childcare are provided. McConnellsburg United Presbyterian Church will hold its annual service at White Church at Union Cemetery on Sunday, September 4, at 10 a.m. The interior of the church ahs just undergone a year-long extensive interior restoration and appears much as it did when the church was built in 1879. Still lacking electrical power, the building has natural lighting and a wonderful breeze through its large windows making a great setting to reflect on the generations that have worshipped before us. Rev. Evan R. Smith will be leading worship and there will be special a cappella music. All are welcome to participate in the service and see the renovations. A ramp has been installed to eliminate steps. The church is located four miles south of McConnellsburg along Route 522. Tonoloway Primitive Baptist Church Annual Fall Service

The Friends of Tonoloway will hold its annual fall service October 2 at historic Tonoloway Primitive Baptist Church in Thompson Township, Fulton County. The 2 p.m. service will include an inspirational message by Mac Miller, associate pastor at Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren; special music; and congregational hymns. Refreshments will be served in the churchyard following the service. Established in 1752, Tonoloway is Fulton County’s oldest church and is located on Thompson Road (state Route 655) two miles north of Hancock, Md. Friends of Tonoloway is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation of Tonoloway Primitive Baptist Church. Presbyterian Church Fall Schedule

McConnellsburg United Presbyterian Church announces its return to a fall schedule beginning September 11 with Sunday School for all ages starting at 9:30 a.m., fellowship time at 10:30 a.m., and worship starting at 11 a.m. The church is located at the corner of South Second and Maple streets. The “Masters,” a Southern gospel singing group from Nantyglow, Pa., will provide the music ministry for the 10:30 a.m. worship service. A noon friendship meal in the pavilion will follow the morning service. A cordial invitation is extended to all to join in this time of worshipping and fellowship.
