Akers – Burgos United In Marriage
The bride is the daughter of Abraham and Norma Burgos, Martinsburg, W.Va. The groom is the son of Daniel and Virginia Akers, Chambersburg, and the grandson of Louise Akers, McCon-nellsburg.
Maid of honor for her sister was Sarah Burgos, Martinsburg. Bridesmaids were Emily Burnell, Ashley Bruneski and Rebecca Hutchcraft, all of Martinsburg.
Serving as best man for his brother was Jonathan Akers, Chambersburg. Edmond Post, Greencastle, was groomsman.
Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride chose a white, empire waist, sleeveless gown, softly gathered at the waistline. The grown was accented with crystal trim at both the V-neckline and the waistline. The gown flowed into a short, chapel-length train in the back. Her crystal tiara held two tiers of illusion cascading to waistlength and accented with crystals.
The bride carried a bouquet of white and lavender roses accented by stephanotis, white lilies and baby’s breath. A crystal necklace and earrings completed her attire.
The bride’s attendants wore lavender fulllength halter gowns. The gowns were accented at the empire waist with lavender satin ribbon that tied in a bow in the back. They carried bouquets of white and lavender roses styled like the bride’s bouquet.
The bride is a graduate of University of West Virginia. She is a registered nurse with Lutheran Home Care Services.
The groom is a graduate of York Technical Institute. He is a lines engineer with West Penn Power.
After a wedding trip to Puerto Rico, the couple reside at 1101 South Main Street, Chambersburg.
