DUI, Underage Drinking Charges To Be Filed In Crash

Charges of driving under the influence are slated to be filed against a Berkeley Springs, W.Va., woman as a result of an accident along Flickerville Road Friday evening.

Pennsylvania State Police in McConnellsburg reported 22-year-old Tera L. Quarantillo was travelling westbound through Bethel Township at 11:55 p.m. when she lost control of her 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse. The car went onto the berm and through a yard before striking a traffic sign, a mailbox and a tree.

Quarantillo was not injured in the crash, however, her vehicle sustained disabling damage and was removed from the scene by Bard’s Towing. Charges will be filed through Magisterial District Judge Carol Jean Johnson.

While in the course of their investigation, state police also determined a 19- year-old male passenger was under the influence of alcohol. Police did not release the name of the underage passenger, but did note that charges of underage drinking are pending through Judge Johnson’s office.
