Mrs. Harry Bivens is recovering from an operation on her left foot at Chambersburg Hospital last Friday.

Ellis Heweitt has returned to his home at Big Cove Tannery after being a patient in Chambersburg Hospital due to an injured foot.

Betty Lee and Carolyn Washabaugh, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. D.A. Washabaugh, had their tonsils removed at the Chambersburg Hospital on Tuesday by Dr. Edgar S. Krug.

A consignment of 80 cans of bass were distributed in local streams last Wednesday by the Department of Fisheries, making a total of 480 cans placed in Fulton County streams this year. L.W. Seylar, a member of the Fish Commission, deserves credit for getting such a fine lot of the “finny tribe” for Fulton County.

A party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Logue Deshong of Pleasant Ridge on August 22 in honor of the 16th birthday of their daughter, Dora, and the 24th birthday of their daughter-in-law, Mrs. Chester Deshong.
