Pa. Woman Used Child To Steal Cigarettes
CARLISLE, Pa. (AP) – Police say they’ve charged a Pennsylvania woman with theft and corruption of a minor after they charged her with using a 10-year-old girl she was babysitting to steal a pack of cigarettes.
WHTM-TV (http://bit.ly/niIR1W) reported Thursday that Julie Heller, 27, was charged with retail theft after she allegedly knocked a pack of cigarettes to the floor at a convenience store and told the girl to put them in their purse, which she did.
The incident last month was caught on store surveillance video. The child’s mother found about it and went to police to tell them.
