The firemen’s parade was very nicee on Saturday even with showers here and there that did not do any harm.

Nelson “Whimpy” and Joan Harmon celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on August 2.

The Back Run School held its annual reunion at McConnellsburg Senior Center on Saturday, August 6.

Don’t forget the 91st annual Fulton County Fair next week. Fireworks on Friday night at 9:30 p.m.

Scott and Christine Shelley will observe their 14th wedding anniversary on August 15.

John and Rachael Mc- Garvey celebrated their first wedding anniversary on August 6 at Inner Harbor in Baltimore.

Landon Peck, son of Denny and Holly Hawbaker Peck, was baptized on Sunday in McConnellsburg Lutheran Church by Pastor Chris Martin.

A 40th birthday party was held for David Lehman refor cently at Cowans Gap. He is the son of Richard and Barbara Lehman of Somerset and grandson of Louise Long of Myers Avenue.

The descendants of the late Jere and Irene Mentzer held a family reunion on Saturday at the Burnt Cabins Grist Mill grounds. Everyone had a good time. A hundred people attended from Ohio, New York, Georgia and Pennsylvania.

An outdoor birthday party was held recently for Sharon Glazier in the home of son Curtis and Lori Glazier, with a lot of good food.

Jane Lamison of Cooper Lane, McConnellsburg, was surprised at an early birthday party held at the American Legion on July 30. Her daughter and husband, Terry, from New Jersey, hosted the party. Friends and relatives attended from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Ohio and New York. During the party it was announced to her surprise that there would be an evening barbecue held at her home on Cooper Lane. It was great to have three of her friends from New York spend the night. Jane retired from the South Central School District in New York after being a secretary in the school district for 28 years. Everyone enjoyed the day and evening.

Tessa McGarvey celebrated her 20th birthday with her fiance, Justin Strait, and parents Toby and Dena, and brother and sister Hannah and Tobias on Sunday at Gettysburg.

The descendants of the late Ruben and Dell Hann and Jake and Dovie Hann held their annual family reunion on Sunday at Needmore Boy Scout grounds.
