Two Myersville, Md., residents suffered minor injuries when their 2004 Harley-Davidson Cruiser was rear-ended along Route 522 on Sunday, July 31.
According to state police reports, 49-year-old James Wallace was travelling southbound through Bethel Township when he slowed down for a dog on the roadway. Wallace’s motorcycle was struck from behind by a 1997 Ford Escort driven by Jeremy Woolford, 19, of Warfordsburg.
Wallace’s passenger, Kelly Wallace, 41, was transported to Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, Md., for treatment of injuries. Woolford was wearing a seat belt and escaped harm. He will be cited for following too closely.
State police were assisted on the scene by Needmore Volunteer Fire Co., Hancock EMS and Scott’s Towing.
