Edna M. Shaw Warren W. Young
Edna M. Shaw, 93, formerly of Three Springs, Pa., died at 11:03 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at Woodland Retirement Community, Orbisonia, Pa.
Born May 15, 1918, in Springfield Twp., Huntingdon Co., Pa., she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Lillian Frances (Wible) Mellott. She was married to Marshall E. Shaw Sr. on June 1, 1938. Mr. Shaw preceded her in death January 24, 1971.
Surviving are children Shirley E. Mitchell, Three Springs; Helen D. Madden and husband James, Three Springs; Marshall E. Shaw Jr. and wife Dixie, Three Springs; Virgil W. Shaw, Three Springs; nine grandchildren: Howard Mitchell, Nancy Mayuri, John Mitchell, Floyd Mitchell, Tammy Mitchell, Brenda Madden, Valerie Shaw Herring, Chris Shaw and Casey Shaw; 10 great-grandchildren: Beverly Lipscomb, Kimberly Lumsden, Marshall Mitchell, Kevin Mayuri, Alyson Mitchell, Meagan Mitchell, Cameron Shaw, Chelsea Shaw, Zachary Herring and Joshua Herring; and three great - great-grandchildren: Joseph Lumsden, Elena Rose Lumsden and Jackson Lipscomb.
Mrs. Shaw was preceded in death by one sister, Evaline Elizabeth Bardm, and one son-in-law, William Mitchell.
Mrs. Shaw was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Three Springs. During her life she was a homemaker.
She loved working in the sun in her garden and her flowerbeds and was well known for her pumpkin pies and her lemonade.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2011, at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, Pa., with Pastor Bryan McNally and Pastor Tony Blackburn officiating. Interment was made at Three Springs Cemetery.

Warren W. “ Barney” Young, 69, Breezewood, died Friday, July 15, 2011.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 23, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Sherman’s Valley Church Cemetery with Pastor Toby Mellott officiating.
