Open Mic Night Held
“Where else could you go and have so much fun, entertainment and fellowship," a woman said at the recent Warfordsburg Senior Citizens' Mic Night. Every month it is someone’s first time to attend as the event continues to expand and new participants share their talent. A first for the evening was Richard Eckley as he rendered several specials on the harmonica and then recited a poem he wrote. Mary Barnhart interpreted sign language to several songs. She taught the language to children and adults for years, and it is just one of her many talents. Robert Burton won a $25 gift certificate, and Dean Truax claimed a cooler filled with picnic supplies. The next mic night is August 12 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
