Mike Kendall Wins Riggs Tournament

Championship flight golfer Mike Kendall of McConnellsburg won Sunday’s Riggs Open golf tournament shooting an even par 71 to net the winning score of 66. Kendall was presented with the trophy and a $200 pro shop certificate.

Second place went to John Buljat of Somerset, with a net score of 67, with Lucas Carbaugh in third, John Mixell in fourth and Fred Peck in fifth. All scored net 70 with a match of cards.

The low gross prize went to young golfer Jason Long, shooting an impressive 67, with Jimmy Mayers in second place with a 76.

Senior prizes went to Butch Boyle and Bill Abeles, both with net 73.
