Claudia M. Duckwall
Claudia Mary Duckwall, 68, Berkeley Springs, WVa., died Sunday, July 10, 2011, at Morgan County War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs.
Born September 26, 1942, in Baltimore, Md., she was the daughter of the late Virl Hobert and Mary Anna Nunnally Sheeder.
She was a member of Berkeley Springs Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Southern Fulton High School.
She had worked as a seamstress with Londontown Manufacturing Co. in Hancock, as a waitress with the Town Hill Restaurant in Warfordsburg, and retired, due to disability, as an aide with Lincoln Intermediate School in New Oxford, Pa. She worked in ceramics, both for pleasure and for profit. She had been a homemaker in recent years and enjoyed gardening, sewing and especially her grandson.
Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Gary Leo Duckwall, at home; two sons: Gary Leo Duckwall Jr., Berkeley Springs, and Gregory Lee Duckwall of Poca, W.Va.; two sisters: Patricia Ann Sche-trompf, Warfordsburg, and Nancy Sue Ramsey, Breezewood; three brothers: Virl Hobert Sheeder Jr. and Gary Paul Sheeder, both of Buck Valley, and John Lee Sheeder, Hopewell; one grandson, Chase Emerson Duckwall, Warfordsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, July 15, at Berkeley Springs Church of Christ, 290 S. Green Street, Berkeley Springs, with Douglas Petty officiating. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Helsley Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
