July 15 Planted Crop Acreage Report Deadline Draws Near

USDA Farm Service Agency Fulton County Executive Director John K. Johnson reminds farmers and landowners that they have until Friday, July 15, 2011, to report their 2011 planted corn, soybeans and grain sorghum acreage to the Fulton County FSA Office.

“The deadline to report planted crop acreage is quickly approaching,” said Johnston. “Producers who have enrolled in the direct and counter cyclical payment program are required to report their 2011 crop acreage,” Johnston added. Failure to report will result in loss of program benefits.

All cropland acreage must be reported to ensure compliance with this year’s program benefits and for future program eligibility. Producers are encouraged to contact the Fulton FSA office to schedule an appointment for crop reporting. The Fulton County FSA office may be contacted at 717-485-3231.
