Junior and Hannelore Hann will observe their 21st wedding anniversary on July 7.

Ida Strait attended her great-niece’s wedding reception at the Greencastle social room on Saturday. R.N. Brooke Blair and her new husband, Chris Times, and son Maliki reside in Leesburg, Va. Ken and Diane Swope and daughter Maggie Cunningham, Hap and Jeannie Swope and family also enjoyed the beautiful fun-filled evening.

Dick Ray had hip-replacement surgery last Monday in Washington County Hospital.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 9, at 11 a.m., in Lititz, Pa., for Bob Barclay, who passed away recently in Wisconsin. He was a former resident of this area.

Fran Mellott of Hustontown is home recuperating after spending some time in Harrisburg Hospital from having a stroke recently.

Sheral High made the dean’s list for the first term at Kaplan University. She is a medical assistant major.

Ronald “Buck” Richards of Needmore spent last week in Fulton County Medical Center with complications in his blood stream.

Darlene Snyder and her children enjoyed a 10-day cruise in the Carribbean. They visited several port-ofcalls.

The descendants of the late Chester and Mary Decker family of Harrisonville held a family reunion with a dinner at the Sideling Hill Christian Church on Sunday and an ice cream festival at Gordon’s Cruise-in in Needmore on Saturday. Relatives attending were from the states of Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Indiana and Pennsylvania. One of the descendants, Don and Pat Hutchison of Indiana, was in town shopping at Strait’s Market and had a nice conversation with folks.

A retirement party was held recently for Kathy Kendall at the McConnellsburg Alumni and Friends Association building. She was with the Central Fulton School District for 37 years.

Sympathy to the family of E. Ray Souders, who passed away last week.

Susan, Danny, Tammy and Jaycie Moody attended a Fourth of July picnic with Susan’s daughter, Laurie, and husband Brad in Somerset and celebrated daughter Lisa’s birthday along with other relatives.
