Wanted Man, Drugs Found

Pennsylvania State Police in McConnellsburg arrested a Breezewood man who was wanted in neighboring Bedford County during a traffic stop along North Breezewood Road on Tuesday, June 21.

Police said they stopped Breezewood resident Timothy Ray Laidig, 48, at 9:51 p.m. for operating a vehicle with an expired registration. Laidig is also suspected of driving on a suspended license and not possessing the necessary insurance.

In addition, passenger Gregory Allen Gracey, 33, also of Breezewood, was determined to be wanted on an arrest warrant and was taken into custody. Troopers went on to find a metal smoking pipe containing suspected marijuana residue as well as a bottle of prescription pills. The vehicle was towed from the scene, and the pipe and pills were sent to the crime lab for further analysis. Charges are pending the confirmation of lab results.
