Spilled Oil Leads To Traffic Accident

A northbound 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier travelled through an oil spill along North Second Street last Friday morning and crashed into a fence.

State police in McConnellsburg reported the car driven by 21-year-old Kimberly Ann Runkle, of Mc- Connellsburg, fishtailed before leaving the borough roadway at 8:45 a.m. The car ran through three lawns, struck a fence and running through a ditch. It came to a rest against a residence.

Runkle was wearing a seat belt and sustained minor injuries. Her vehicle was disabled. Troopers are continuing to investigate the crash and were aided on the scene by McConnellsburg Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Co., McConnellsburg Fire Police and PennDOT.
