Thelma K. Bratton, 90, McConnellsburg, died Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at Fulton County Medical Center.

She was born March 17, 1921, in McConnellsburg, the daughter of the late Walter and Margaret (Brinkley) Black. She was married to the late Robert Samuel Bratton in 1946.

She was employed by Fairchild Aircraft in Hagerstown as a machine operator until her retirement in 1984.

She is survived by one daughter, Beverly A. St. Clair of McConnellsburg; two granddaughters: Michelle R. Calvert of Lebanon, Pa., and Tylette R. Fahrney of Chambersburg; three great-grandchildren: Devon and Madison Calvert and Chance Fahrney; one brother, Richard Black of McConnellsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Margaret Elizabeth Brinkley Black; her husband, Robert Samuel Bratton; one sister, Helen Buterbaugh, and one brother, Robert Black.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, June 23, 2011, at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, McConnellsburg, with vistiation two hours prior to the funeral.
