Merrill W. Crouse
Merrill Walter Crouse, 86, Spring Run, died Sunday, June 12, 2011.
He was born May 20, 1925, in Big Cove Tannery, to Mack and Rachel ( Gordon) Crouse.
He was married to Marie (Worthy) Crouse on April 2, 1949.
He was employed at Letterkenny Army Depot.
He was a member of Laurel Grove United Methodist Church in Amberson, Pa.
He proudly served his country in World War II in the United States Marine Corps.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survied by three children: Merrill W. (husband of Beverly) Crouse Jr., Spring Run; Terry A. (husband of Teresa) Crouse, Spring Run; Connie (wife of Thomas) Edgar, Chambersburg; six grandchildren: Nicole (wife of David) Pyles, Derek Crouse, Mandy Crouse, Kristie Crouse, McClain Gamble, McKenzie Gamble; two great-grandchildren: Cole Pyles and Alexis Pyles; and two sisters: Cleo Black of Ohio and Ellen Mellott of North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three brothers and three sisters.
Memorial services were held Saturday, July 2, at 2 p.m. at Laurel Grove United Methodist Church, PO Box 69, Amberson, PA 17201.
Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg, was in charge of arrangements.
