WELLSBORO, Pa. (AP) – Officials say a falling tree struck a wagon carrying senior citizens touring a Pennsylvania nature attraction, injuring 10 people.

The Williamsport Sun- Gazette reports a large oak fell on a horse-drawn wagon Thursday evening as it carried seniors on a tour of Pine Creek Gorge in Tioga County. Three passengers had to be airlifted from the remote state park to a hospital in neighboring Bradford County.

Wellsboro Fire Chief Bobby McCarthy says the injuries ranged in seriousness from minor to severe. He says a total of 46 seniors were on the trip.
