All the county schools held graduation ceremonies last Thursday night, with McConnellsburg graduating 46; Forbes Road 44; and Southern Fulton 50, along with Fulton County Community Christian School that graduated four and a homeschooled Commonwealth Connections Academy student.

Congratulations to Pastor Paul and Jennifer Eckert on the birth of their third daughter on May 25. She was born in Waynesboro Hospital, weighing 6 pounds, 1 ounce. Her name is Karra Grace. She has two older sisters, Kathrin and Kallie.

The descendants of Scott and Beatrice Sipes held their family reunion on Saturday at the McConnellsburg Lions Community Park.

The Great Cove Golf Course swimming pool is now open for business.

Russell and Joan Gordon will observe their 52nd wedding anniversary on June 14.

George “Si” Mellott will observe his 80th birthday on June 15. Anyone wishing to send him a card, his address is Long-Term Care, Fulton County Medical Center, Room 24A.

Louise Creager is currently a resident at Shippensburg Health Care Center, 121 Walnut Bottom Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257. She will celebrate her 84th birthday on June 13.

Rheon Gelvin of Hustontown has returned to Harrisburg Hospital Sunday evening after being home for a few days. He was sent home last week for a few days then spent the weekend at Fulton County Medical Center before returning to Harrisburg.

Leon and Patty Mellott of Needmore held a family gettogether at their home last Tuesday evening.

A surprise 50th birthday party was held for Roger Sowers at Cowans Gap State Park on Sunday, June 5. It was given by his wife, Sonnie.

Sympathy goes out to the family of Larry Houck of New Grenada, who passed away on Saturday.

The folks at McConnellsburg Senior Center will be busy this week preparing strawberries for the festival.

Two buses with folks from this area enjoyed the Pirates and Phillies game on Sunday. The Phillies won.

Denny and Ann Seville will celebrate their 11th wedding anniversary on June 10, and Denny will also have his 51st birthday on the same day.
