After all the warnings of a tornado on Friday evening we are grateful it didn’t happen. The weekend weather has been great, but predictions are for a very warm few days this week.

Some folks hope the rainy days go away so they can get their gardens planted as well as the farm crops planted.

Hope everyone had a great holiday with families, picnics, etc. Lots of folks were at camp areas for the weekend.

Knobsville United Methodist Church has a festival planned for Saturday, June 16, at 4 p.m. Soups, sandwiches and ice cream. Come out and enjoy the evening.

Glad to hear there was a nice crowd at the Clear Ridge Homecoming on Saturday.

Some of the military folks were in charge of the services at the United Methodist Church at Knobsville on Sunday. These folks who are serving or have served deserve a great honor for what they have done for their country.

Herbie and Tammy Berk- stresser and Aaron Koons spent the weekend at Greencastle camping and at a bow shoot. Proceeds benefitted the cancer fund.

Sorry the primary turnout wasn’t good.Let’s hope the people will do their duty and really turn out for the fall election.

Congratulations to all the high school graduates. Hope they choose to further their education or at least acquire a great career. Forbes Road’s graduation will be Thursday, June 2, at 7 p.m.

Randy, Trudy and Tristan Gelvin travelled to Reading, Pa., over the weekend for the Berkshire Consulting Memorial Day Classic 16U baseball tournament.
