Huldah M. Bain

Huldah M. Bain, 81, a resident of the Village of Laurel Run, Fayetteville, and formerly of McConnellsburg, died Thursday, May 19, 2011, at the Village of Laurel Run, Fayetteville.

She was born in Saluvia, Pa., on October 19, 1929, the daughter of the late Herman J. and Ethel (Sipes) Decker. She was the widow of Carl E. Bain Sr., whom she married on September 1, 1951, and he passed away on November 19, 2010.

She was a member of Mc- Connellsburg United Methodist Church, served as a member of the Central Fulton School Board for a short time, was a nursing home administrator and RN at the Leader Nursing Home in Chambersburg, served as nursing administrator for a short time at Fulton County Medical Center Nursing Home and was part owner/ administrator at the Decker Nursing Home in McConnellsburg, Pa.

She is survived by sons: Carl E. Bain Jr. of Chesteron, Ind.; William H. Bain of Reston, Va.; daughter Annette L. Williams of Berkley Springs, W.Va.; four grandchildren; and one greatgrandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son, Gary L. Bain; a brother, Bruce Decker; a sister, Esta Myers; one infant sister; and two infant grandsons.

Services were held at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2011. Pastor John Godissart officiated. Interment was at Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg.
