Mack Trucks Hiring 300 Workers For Plant In Pa.
ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) – Mack Trucks is increasing production at its plant in eastern Pennsylvania and expects to hire about 300 workers.
The company issued a statement Friday attributing the production boost to higher demand for its Pinnacle line of trucks.
Mack officials say their facility in Lower Macungie Township currently employs about 1,030 workers, which includes 200 added last year.
The company hopes to have the new hires start by August.
Mack is based in Greensboro, N.C., and is a division of Sweden’s Volvo Group.
