Allied Health Students Hold Blood Drive
The Fulton County Area Vocational Technical School Allied Health students recently hosted two simultaneous blood drives through the American Red Cross. The blood drives were held at McConnellsburg High School and Southern Fulton High School. Joseph Shore, a senior from McConnellsburg High School, and Benjamin Wilkinson, a junior from Southern Fulton High School, planned and coordinated the blood drives as their senior projects.
Members of the FCAVTS’ Allied Health program assisted Joey and Ben throughout the day. Students assisting were Katherin Berkstresser, Kasey Rose, Jaedi Weed, and Joanna Leese. More than 40 units of blood were collected from the students and teachers. Allied Health instructor, Brandi Mellott and cooperative education instructor Joyce Shull, assisted the students with the blood drives.
