SF Holds Prom



On Saturday May 14, 2011, Southern Fulton High School held its junior/senior prom “Circus Spectacular” at The Country Inn Resort and Spa in Berkeley Springs, W.Va. The students were treated to a wonderful gourmet buffet and a fun-filled dance. Students began arriving at 5:30 p.m. and dinner began at 6:00 p.m. The room was decorated in red, black and gold, and the tables had circus elephants, popcorn boxes and roses on them. At 10:15 p.m., the crowning took place and the Prom King and Queen were announced. The 2011 Prom King was JC Munson, son of John and Anita Munson of Warfordsburg. JC plays basketball and baseball for SF, and he plans to attend Penn Tech to major in diesel technology. Bailey Elbin was crowned the 2011 Prom Queen. She is the daughter of Sharon and Craig Elbin of Needmore and attends Hancock United Methodist Church. She is a class officer, plays softball, basketball, is a member of National Honor Society, is active in the school musicals back stage and onstage, and is in color guard and Interact. She will be attending LaRoche College in Pittsburgh, majoring in elementary education with a focus on science.
