Mary E. Ott
Mary E. Ott, 88, Shippensburg, died Friday, May 13, 2011, at ManorCare, Chambersburg.
Born April 15, 1923, in Dublin Township, Fulton County, she was a daughter of the late Harry W. and Virgie M. Regi Naugle.
She was primarily a homemaker throughout her life, but in her younger years she worked at Letterkenny Army Depot as an inspector; the former Shirtcraft, also as an inspector; and The Treat Restaurant as a cook.
She was a past president of the Shippensburg AARP 2525 and a past president of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post 223 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a longtime Brownie leader in her younger years, loved to square dance, enjoyed quilting and knitting, and was an organizer of many AARP bus trips.
She is survived by a sister, Faye Gladfelter, Chambersburg; her godson, Andrew (Dawn) Naugle, Chambersburg; two stepdaughters; one stepson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She as preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn Fulton, who did September 29, 1976; her second husband, Charles L. “Chig” Ott, who died January 14, 2011; three brothers: George “Bill,” Andrew and Michael Naugle; and a sister in infancy.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 19, at Foeglsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Thursday at the funeral home.
