Forbes Road Junior-Senior Prom was held Saturday night at McConnellsburg American Legion. The theme was “Starstruck.” Named as king and queen of the prom were Brandon Blair and Kinsey Cutchall.

McConnellsburg’s annual middle and high school spring choral concert was performed on Tuesday night. The students did a great job.

Lucas Suders graduated with honors from Hagerstown Junior College on Saturday.

McConnellsburg Methodist Church held its annual spring fling on Saturday with an outside auction, ham potpie and homemade desserts.

Pat Horton is home recuperating after having a knee replacement recently in the Geisinger Medical Center.

Brian and Stacey Peck Bell of Everett observed their sixth wedding anniversary on May 16.

Mackie Clevenger is home from an extended stay in the hospital after surgery and is able to be out and about.

Word was received last week of the death of Ross Englert, who passed away May 1. Ross was raised in Knobsville and a Mc- Connellsburg graduate. He lived in Virginia at the time of his death.

Fulton County Sportsmen’s Club held its annual open house and children’s rodeo on Saturday with door prizes, raffle and food stands at the nursery grounds of Esther Run.

Needmore Fire Co. held its chicken barbecue on Sunday and had a good turnout.

Dick and Stella Mellott of Needmore observed their 67th wedding anniversary on May 13.

An eighth birthday party was held on Saturday for McKenna Hoffman at parents Dustin and Destiny Hoffman’s home. Her birthday was May 5.

Public Opinion weekly honor roll student-athlete was Ryan Harper of Southern Fulton for baseball.

Colton Strait and Chase Novak were confirmed on Sunday at McConnellsburg St. Paul Lutheran Church.

The descendants of the late Ross and Bertha Ott held a get-together on Saturday at the country home of Rena Ott and the late Paul Ott.

Junior and Millie Truax observed their 56th wedding anniversary on May 15.

Peggy Headley and daughter Karen of Mercersburg visited with Peggy’s daughter, Glenda, and family of Connecticut a few days last week.
