Hustontown

By Kate Berkstresser

We are having some nice spring weather with a few showers. The folks and farmers are hoping for a break to get some planting done.

The rummage sale at Knobsville United Methodist was well attended, with lots of items and food to choose from. The church folks wish to thank all and everyone who helped in anyway.

Thank you to Becky Cutchall who was a speaker at the services at Knobsville and Fairview churches while Pastor Bill and Joan are on vacation.

Remember Sunday, May 8, is Mother’s Day, and a great place to go for that special meal for her is Hustontown Firehall as they will have a variety of meats, vegetables and desserts. So come out and support the fire company and honor mother and enjoy the meal.

Happy birthday wishes to Harriet Hill on May 8.

Harvey and Pat Berkstresser visited with Shawn. Jackie and Ryan Berkstresser at Slippery Rock on Saturday.

Put your jewelry where your mouth is. Here’s a jewelry cleaner. You may not know about denture tablets. Put your rings in a glass with a tablet of dentures cleanser. After soaking for an hour or two, scrub them gently with a toothbrush as you do your teeth. Then rinse well and dry with a soft cloth.
