Chicken BBQ A chicken barbecue will be held at St. Mary’s Parish Hall, north of Shade Gap along Rt. 522, on Sunday, May 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Proceeds benefit the youth summer church camp. Meals are $7 or half a chicken for $5.50. Advanced tickets are preferred and may be obtained by calling 814-259-3147.

Food Auction Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will hold a food auction at the firehall Friday, May 13, at 5:30 p.m. More information at a later date.

Vegetarian Meal Needmore Seventh-day Adventist Church invites and welcomes visitors to enjoy a healthful and nutritious vegetarian meal on Saturday, May 14, at 12:30 p.m. The meal will be proceeded by a raise service at 9:30 a.m. and celebration of the word, with speaker John Rengifo, at 11 a.m. All are welcome. The church is located at the intersection of highways 655 and 522 in the village of Needmore.

Mother/Daughter Tea Fulton County Society of Farm Women will hold a mother/daughter tea at the Tea House in Mercersburg Saturday, May 7. Meet at Save-A-Lot at 10:30 a.m.

Ice Cream Festival Fairview United Methodist Church will hold ice cream festivals this year on July16 and September 10. The church is located four miles north of Hustontown on North Hess Road. Homemade ice cream, soups, sandwiches, french fries and desserts will be sold. The festivals begins at 4 p.m. All are welcome.

Chicken BBQ Fairview United Methodist Church will hold a chicken barbecue on Saturday, May 21, beginning at 4 p.m. The church is located four miles north of Hustontown on North Hess Road. Dinners will include half a chicken, baked beans, applesauce, dinner roll, cake, coffee, iced tea, punch or lemonade. Eatin or takeout. All are welcome.

Pancake/Sausage Supper Forbes Road Lions Club will hold a pancake and sausage supper at Hustontown Firehall on Saturday, May 14, from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. or until supply of food is exhausted. Donations accepted.

Election Day Spaghetti Dinner St. Stephen Catholic Church is sponsoring an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner Tuesday, May 17. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dinner served from 4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12 years of age. There will be meatball subs also available. Takeouts will be available for both meal times.

Republican Dinner The Republican dinner will be held May 6 at Hustontown Firehall at 6 p.m. Anyone interested in tickets should contact a committee member or call 717-485- 9498.

Mother’s Day Buffet Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will hold a Mother’s Day buffet at the firehall on Sunday, May 8, at 11 a.m. A large variety of fine food featuring eight meats, a variety of vegetables, salads, desserts and beverages. Watch for more information later.

Chicken BBQ A chicken barbecue will be held at Warfordsburg Presbyterian Church May 7 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Carryouts only. Menu will be barbecue chicken, baked beans, scalloped potatoes, applesauce and roll. Cost is $8 for a dinner and $5 for half a chicken.

Election Day Dinner Needmore Fire Co. Auxiliary will serve lunch and dinner on Election Day. Lunch will be served starting at 11:30 a.m. and dinner from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Pancake Supper Fulton County Community Christian School will be serving an all-you-can-eat pancake supper Saturday, May 14, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The meal will include regular, chocolate chip, blueberry and buckwheat pancakes along with sausage, sausage gravy, paunhaus, home fries, dessert, juice and coffee. There is no charge, but donations are gratefully accepted. For additional information, contact the school at 717-573-4400. The school is located at 8159 Great Cove Road in Needmore.

Free Meal St. Paul Lutheran Church at 220 North Third Street, McConnellsburg, will serve a free meal the second Tuesday of each month from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Come and enjoy good food and fellowship.
