McConnellsburg S.A.D.D. students held a program at the high school on Saturday night that recognized Kathy Kendall for her years of service. The entertainment was John Cassidy, who is in the Gunness Book of World Records for tying the most balloons together in an hour and also Tommy Deshong and his magic show.

Allen Mellott, formerly of Hustontown, recently had rotator-cuff surgery last week at Chambersburg Hospital. His address is 155 Garfield Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

A 50th birthday party was held on Sunday for Scott Souders at the home of Mike and Michele Hill.

Public Opinion weekly honor roll student-athletes were Zane Fraker, Southern Fulton baseball, and Seth Seville, McConnellsburg baseball.

Trout fishing on Saturday, the first day, was very rainy and the creeks were very high, causing the banks to be mostly empty of fishermen.

McConnellsburg K-4 program students along with teachers and parents enjoyed the circus in Altoona last Tuesday.

Jack and Lib Sipes recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Big Cove Tannery St. Paul’s Lutheran Church held its annual homemade soup, hoagie and bake sale on Saturday, and it was a success, as usual.

Chris and Christian Hann will observe their 12th wedding anniversary on April 25.

Doug Ray is now a patient at Fulton County Medical Center. His room number is 107.

Don’t forget the Easter egg hunts: in McConnellsburg at Lions Club Park on April 23, beginning at 10 a.m., for children 12 years old and younger, and in Hustontown at Forbes Road Lions Club Park on Saturday, April 23, at 10 a.m. for children 12 and under.

The county senior centers held their Easter dinner on Wednesday.

A hymn sing was held on Saturday night, Apirl 16, at Sideling Hill Christian Church. It was well attended considering the rainy weather.
