Myrtle Lucille Mathern
Myrtle Lucille Mathern, 98, Burnt Cabins, died Sunday, April 10, 2011, at Fulton County Medical Center.
She was born May 15, 1912, in Warner, Albert, Canada, the daughter of the late Wallace and Mary (Bryan) Clarke. She was married to the late Ronald “ Curly” Mathern, who passed away in 1982.
She was a member of Burnt Cabin Civic Association.
She is survived by three daughters: Judy Yablonski of Burnt Cabins; Helen Caldwell of Santa Barbara, Calif.; and Jean McKenzie of Oakwood, Texas; one son, Cleve W. O’Banion of Deatville, Ala.; two stepsons: Robert Mathern of Burnt Cabins, and David Mathern of Iowa; one stepdaughter, Judy of Iowa; 16 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren; and 24 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Mathern; her parents: Wallace and Mary Clarke; one son, Cliff O’Banion; one brother, Howard Clarke; and one sister, Beatrice Moore.
A memorial service is scheduled for May 15, 2011 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., at Celebration Hall in Fort Littleton.
