More Than 12 Charged In Philly Dogfighting Raid

PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Animal welfare officials say more than a dozen people have been arrested following a late-night raid on an alleged dogfighting operation.

Police and the Pennsylvania SPCA raided a home in the city’s Grays Ferry neighborhood around midnight Monday. At least 15 people were arrested.

SPCA director of law enforcement George Bengal says dogs were engaging in a fight in a front bedroom when authorities arrived.
