Public Opinion girls basketball player of the year is Lacey Beatty of Southern Fulton. Lacey is a senior and played guard position. Her parents are Todd and Billie Jo Beatty. She totaled 1,056 career points.

Evan Hoffman recently had surgery in Chambersburg Hospital and is now home recuperating.

Second team were Chris Everts, Forbes Road; Evan Appleby, McConnellsburg; and Damon Gordon, Southern Fulton. Honorable mention went to Billy Fleming of Mc- Connellsburg. Named coach of the year was Kent Hendershot of Southern Fulton.
Congratulations to C.J. and Alicia Whitehill of Fayet- teville, N.C., on the birth of twins on March 16 – Bodie Ray and Olive Marie. Grandparents are Dave and Heidi Newman. Great-grandparents are Bob and Darlene Snyder, Ed and Betty Park, Ray and Ellen Newman, and the late Mary Edna Snyder.
