Southern Fulton 4, Forbes Road 3
Southern Fulton pitcher Seth Hall didn’t give up any earned runs against the Forbes Road Cardinals Monday while rolling to a 4-3 Sideling Hill League win. Hall closed out the game with the win and five strikeouts, three walks and four hits. Teammates J.C. Munson and Jake Fitz both had doubles for the Indians, while Ryan Hann posted two hits for the Cardinals. Tristan Gelvin took the loss on the mound for Forbes Road with three strikeouts, three walks, four hits and a lone earned run.
McConnellsburg 13, Hyndman 2
Pitcher Evan Appleby picked up his first win of the spring season Friday evening when the McConnellsburg Spartans easily downed the Hyndman Hornets by the final score of 13-2. Appleby closed out the Sideling Hill League match with three strikeouts, one walk, four hits and only two earned runs. Meanwhile, Levi Crouse knocked in three RBIs at the plate, which included a two-run double. Teammate Seth Seville went two-for-four with a double and two RBIs, and Tristin Deneen rounded out the game with two RBIs.
Fannett-Metal 22, McConnellsburg 7
McConnellsburg gave up 14 hits last Tuesday during the season opener, which ended in a dismal 22-7 loss to the Fannett-Metal Tigers. Seth Seville opened the game for the Spartans, lasting slightly more than two innings on the mound. In his first pitching loss, Seville gave up eight hits, seven walks, six earned runs and struck out one batter. Seville also had the only extra-base hit with a double.
Forbes Road 11, Hyndman 4
Forbes Road tallied 13 hits Tuesday evening, while Brandon Blair led his Cardinal teammates from the mound during a 11-4 Sideling Hill League win over the Hyndman Hornets. During the season opener, Blair rallied for nine strikeouts, three walks, seven hits and two earned runs. Tristan Gelvin led the offense going fourfor four with two RBIs, while Kyle Schoen added a triple and three RBIs. Donovan Bricker contributed two hits, which included a double, and Ryan Hann had two hits as well.
Chestnut Ridge 8, Southern Fulton 0
The Southern Fulton Indians managed only one hit Tuesday during their season opener against Chestnut Ridge. Zach Morton hit a triple for the Indians, while pitcher Ryan Harper took the loss after lasting only three innings on the mound. Harper finished the day with five hits, one walk, five earned runs and four strikeouts.
Southern Fulton 24, Forbes Road 0
Southern Fulton needed only three innings and tallied 24 runs in that short time frame to down the Forbes Road Lady Cardinals. Marley Elbin recorded a win for the Indians with six strikeouts. Elbin also added a double and four RBIs at the plate while batting twofor two. Teammates Taelor Morton went three-for-three with three RBIs, and Bailey Elbin batted two-for-two with a double. Calie Horton had two hits, which included a triple, while Kayla Wertz was three-for-three with a triple. Pitcher Lauren King was handed the loss on Monday for Forbes Road with two strikeouts, six walks, eight hits and six earned runs.
Fannett-Metal 8, McConnellsburg 2
Gabby Danner led Mc- Connellsburg from the mound and at the plate last Tuesday when the Lady Spartans opened their spring season with a 8-2 loss to Fannett Metal. Danner tallied two strikeouts as well as five walks, seven hits and four earned runs. At the plate, she was three-for-four, which included a double. Teammate Alexus Mellott also added a double.
Hyndman 15, Forbes Road 3
Pitchers Lauryn King and Corri Parsons combined for five innings last Tuesday, finishing the season opener against Hyndman in a 15-3 loss. During the Sideling Hill League game, King took the loss with three strikeouts, four walks, seven hits and four earned runs. Emily Horton contributed an RBI during the match, and Sam Clippinger and Parsons both added a hit as well.
Chestnut Ridge 19, Southern Fulton 4
Jordan Deneen had the Southern Fulton Lady Indians only hit last Tuesday during a 19- 4 Sideling Hill League loss to Chestnut Ridge. Kelsey White opened the season with one strikeout, seven walks, seven hits and 10 earned runs after having completed slightly more than one inning as pitcher.
McConnellsburg 81, West Branch 69
Everett 87.5, McConnellsburg 67.5
The McConnellsburg Spartans split a tri-meet on Monday, defeating West Branch but falling to the Everett Warriors. Dillan Hollinshead and Lucas Banks both picked up a pair of wins for the Spartans during the Inter-County Conference meet. Hollinshead took first place in the 1600- and 3200- meter events, and Banks was victorious in the shot put and discus. Alex Keaton wrapped up the meet with a win in the 300 hurdles.

Everett 92, McConnellsburg 58
Libby Strayer picked up a pair of wins for the Mc- Connellsburg Lady Spartans and also ran a leg for the winning 1600 relay team during a tri- meet against West Branch and Everett Monday. Fellow 1600 relay teammates were Nikki Fleming, Kylie Zittle and Santana Ramsey. Fleming and Zittle added respective wins in the high jump and 800 meter.
