Margaret E. Fletcher
Margaret Elizabeth Fletcher, 77, Warfordsburg, died Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at Fulton County Medical Center.
Born December 31, 1933, in Fulton County, Belfast township, she was the daughter of Lee and Effie Taylor Funk and the widow of the late Vearl D. Fletcher, who died December 13, 2009.
She was a graduate of Warfordsburg High School and a member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church and the ladies aid of Pleasant Grove Christian Church.
She was employed with Fulton County Housing Authority, where she was the director for HUD.
She is survived by three daughters: Barbara J. Weller and husband Stephen, Mc- Connellsburg; Cathy L. Albright and husband Dennis, Carlisle; Rita G. Stapelton and husband Timothy of Great Cacapon, W.Va.; three sons: Bryan Vearl Fletcher and wife Debbie, Harrisonville; Stuart K. Fletcher and wife Cheryl, McConnellsburg; and Eric K. Fletcher, Warfordsburg; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lee Funk; and two sisters: Leona Weeks and Marjorie DeHart.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 2, at 2 p.m., at Pleasant Grove Christian Church, Warfordsburg. Rev. Denver Plessinger officiated. Burial was made in the adjoining church cemetery.
