Card Party McConnellsburg Alumni & Friends Association will hold another card party on Saturday, April 30, starting at 6 p.m. at the McConnellsburg Alumni & Friends Community Building (former old MHS). Any questions, please call Kathy J. Kendall at 485-0221.

Line Dance Fulton County Line Dance Club will hold line dance sessions every Wednesday (except the first Wednesday of the month) beginning at 7:00 p.m. at VFW Post 655, Poplar Street, McConnellsburg. All are welcome. Come and learn some new steps. A $2 donation is appreciated.

Benefit Sale A soup, sandwich and bake sale will be held April 16, from noon to 4 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 11 North Fayette Street, Mercersburg, to benefit the Troia children. Eat in or carryouts available.

Egg Hunt/Open House An egg hunt and open house will be held at Fulton County Center for Families Friday, April 22, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., at the old Overly-Raker building. This event is for children from birth to age 5 and is open to the community. RSVP by April 15 to ensure a spot at this event. Mic Night Mic Night will be held at Warfordsburg Senior Center, 209 Long Hollow Road, Warfordsburg, April 9, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Food and drink will be available. Admission is $1. More information may be obtained by calling 717-294-6020.

Open Stage Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will sponsor an open stage on Saturday, April 23, at 6 p.m. Kitchen opens at 5 p.m. Come out and share talent or just come and enjoy the talent of others. Admission is free and the facility is smokefree.

Spring Craft Show A spring craft show will be held Saturday, April 16, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, April 17, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Shade Gap Fire Co. Auxiliary building. Homecooked chicken dinners and many other foods will be available along with a photographer for spring photos. Proceeds benefit the auxiliary.

FR Lions Easter Egg Hunt Forbes Road Lions Club Easter egg hunt will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 23, at Lions Park, conditions permitting. In case of inclement weather or muddy grounds, the event will take place in Forbes Road High School gym. Eggs, candy and special prizes for toddlers thru 12-years-olds. Raffle tickets are now on sale to support the hunt and other projects.

Shooting Match A shooting match will be held at Hustontown Fire Co., Saturday, April 9, at 1 p.m. Prizes will be awarded and shells furnished.

Kids Fun/Crafts Day Kids Fun and Craft Day will be held Saturday, April 9, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the Warfordsburg Presbyterian Church. All ages are welcome to attend, but children under 4 must be accompanied by an adult. All are welcome. More information may be obtained by calling 294-3482.

Golf Tournament Fulton County Chamber of Commerce & Tourism spring fever golf tournament will be held April 29. Raindate is April 30. Shotgun start at 1p.m. with scramble format at Great Cove Golf & Recreation Club, 366 Riggs Drive, McConnellsburg. Cost is $65 per golfer, which includes greens and cart fees, meal with beverages, snacks and gift bag. Additional information may be obtained by calling 717-485-4064 or at info@fultoncountypa.com. New York Trip Modern Woodmen Youth Group is sponsoring a day trip to New York City Saturday, May 14. A day on your own in the Big Apple. Board the bus at 7 p.m., pit stop, back in McConnellsburg around midnight. Cost is $45 per person if reserved and paid in full by April 8. After that, the cost per person will be $50. No smoking or alcohol is permitted on the bus. More information or reservations may be obtained by calling Cheryl Cutshall at 717-485-0527 after 4 p.m.

Hunters Helping Kids Hunters Helping Kids Mason- Dixon Chapter will hold its annual youth conservation banquet April 9, at 6 p.m. at Hustontown Firehall. More information may be obtained by calling 717- 485- 5529 or at www.huntershelpingkids.org. Cost is $15 for singles, $20 for couples, 6-11 years old $8 and 5 and under are free.

Yard/Bake Sale A benefit bale sale and yard sale for the late Tina Souders will be held Saturday, April 30, at Cito Church Fellowship Hall, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Also available will be hot food, raffle, ribbons, etc. To donate anything for the bake or yard sales, call 717-573-4004 or drop off at the church Friday evening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Bus Trip A bus trip will be made to the Longaberger basket festival at the Crayola Factory in Easton, Pa., April 9. Includes transportation from McConnellsburg to the factory, continental breakfast on the bus, snacks and drinks on the bus from start to finish and lots of games, goodies and prizes. Depart at 7:30 a.m. from McConnellsburg Alumni & Friends Assoc. building. Anyone interested in making baskets or available additional workshops should register at the time of reservations. Benefit Dance A benefit dance will be held April 9 at Mc- Connellsburg American Legion. Doors open at 5 p.m. and dance starts at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 per person. No one will be admitted without a ticket. Only a limited number of tickets will be sold. There will be door prizes, raffles, silent auctions and more. Must be 21 years old to attend. New York City Trip Modern Woodmen of American Camp 7948 is sponsoring a bus trip to New York City Saturday, May 7. The bus departs McConnellsburg courthouse at 6 a.m. A stop will be made for breakfast at 8:15 a.m. and arrival in New York City at 11:30 a.m. Depart New York City near the Times Square area at 6:30 p.m. and a stop will be made halfway home for supper. Estimated arrival back in Mc- Conellsburg is 12:15 a.m. Cost for transportation and a buffet breakfast is $55 per person.
