On Sunday, March 13, the McConnellsburg FFA chapter traveled to Harrisburg for the annual State Leadership Conference.

Kristin Hawbaker and Sara Wenschhof spent three days learning about parliamentary procedures and how bills turned into laws. Throughout their days there, they participated in many different activities. They participated in a costume dinner with many other chapters from all over Pennsylvania. Along with all of the fun, they started something new this year with SLLC, where the different chapters were assigned community service projects to do for a few hours around the Harrisburg community.

The chapter picked up trash around the Petro gas station for a few hours. It was a lot of hard work, but it was very appreciated. The members wrapped up the conference with a breakfast with state legislators and a visit to the state capitol building where they were able to visit with state Rep. Dick Hess in his office.
