Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Mellott of Harrisonville attended the annual meeting of the Pennsylvania

Jersey Cattle Club in Mercer County on Friday and Saturday and were presented with awards for owning the highest producing herd in the whole of Pennsylvania for the year 1970.

Last Wednesday, 18-year-olds came one step closer to gaining the right to vote in state and local elections.

Mr. and Mrs. Firman McClain of Waterfall will hold open house to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, April 18.

Lisa and Lynn MacDonald, twin daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Paul MacDonald, celebrated their 16th birthdays on March 26 at a party held at the firehall.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Strait of Hustontown received word that their son, Arthur Jr., was accidentally shot in the leg while in training with national guard at Fort Knox, Ky.

Betrothal: Mrs. Ruth Mellott of Warfordsburg announces the engagement of her daughter, Nancy Ellen, to Walter Grayson Hynson Jr., son of the late Rev. and Mrs. Walter Grayson Hynson Sr. of Cambridge, Md.
