Card Party McConnellsburg Alumni & Friends Association will hold another card party on Saturday, April 30, starting at 6 p.m. at the McConnellsburg Alumni & Friends Community Building (former old MHS). Any questions, please call Kathy J. Kendall at 485-0221.

Line Dance Fulton County Line Dance Club will hold line dance sessions every Wednesday (except the first Wednesday of the month) beginning at 7:00 p.m. at VFW Post 655, Poplar Street, McConnellsburg. All are welcome. Come and learn some new steps. A $2 donation is appreciated.

Open Stage Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will sponsor an open stage on Saturday, April 23, at 6 p.m. Kitchen opens at 5 p.m. Come out and share talent or just come and enjoy the talent of others. Admission is free and the facility is smokefree.

FR Lions Easter Egg Hunt Forbes Road Lions Club Easter egg hunt will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 23, at Lions Park, conditions permitting. In case of inclement weather or muddy grounds, the event will take place in Forbes Road High School gym. Eggs, candy and special prizes for toddlers thru 12-years-olds. Raffle tickets are now on sale to support the hunt and other projects.

Shooting Match A shooting match will be held at Hustontown Fire Co., Saturday, April 9, at 1 p.m. Prizes will be awarded and shells furnished.

Senior Center Activities McConnellsburg Senior Center activities for the month of April are: nickel bingo, 10 a.m. - April 1, 4, 6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 25, 27; blood pressure screening, 11 a.m. - April 7; AARP driver safety course, 9:30 a.m. - April 11 and 12; Path Valley for lunch and shopping, 11 a.m. - April 21; nutrition/craft class, 1 p.m. - April 21; closed April 22; Hagerstown, 9 a.m. - April 28; dime bingo, 10 a.m. - April 29.

New York Trip Modern Woodmen Youth Group is sponsoring a day trip to New York City Saturday, May 14. A day on your own in the Big Apple. Board the bus at 7 p.m., pit stop, back in McConnellsburg around midnight. Cost is $45 per person if reserved and paid in full by April 8. After that, the cost per person will be $50. No smoking or alcohol is permitted on the bus. More information or reservations may be obtained by calling Cheryl Cutshall at 717-485-0527 after 4 p.m.

Hunters Helping Kids Hunters Helping Kids Mason- Dixon Chapter will hold its annual youth conservation banquet April 9, at 6 p.m. at Hustontown Firehall. More information may be obtained by calling 717- 485- 5529 or at www.huntershelpingkids.org. Cost is $15 for singles, $20 for couples, 6-11 years old $8 and 5 and under are free.

Yard/Bake Sale A yard sale and bake sale benefit for Tina Souders’ sons Stanton and Spencer will be held Saturday, April 23, at the Alumni Community Building from 8-6. Anyone wishing to donate baked goods or yard sale items should contact Rhonda at 717-573-4004 or askrhonda@yahoo.com.

Movie Night Fulton County Library free movie night will be held Friday, April 1, at 6:10 p.m. in the library’s community room. Rated PG. Call the library or stop in to find out what’s playing.

Bus Trip A bus trip will be made to the Longaberger basket festival at the Crayola Factory in Easton, Pa., April 9. Includes transportation from McConnellsburg to the factory, continental breakfast on the bus, snacks and drinks on the bus from start to finish and lots of games, goodies and prizes. Depart at 7:30 a.m. from McConnellsburg Alumni & Friends Assoc. building. Anyone interested in making baskets or available additional workshops should register at the time of reservations. Benefit Dance A benefit dance will be held April 9 at Mc- Connellsburg American Legion. Doors open at 5 p.m. and dance starts at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 per person. No one will be admitted without a ticket. Only a limited number of tickets will be sold. There will be door prizes, raffles, silent auctions and more. Must be 21 years old to attend. Special Activities All are cordially invited to be pampered by Pampered Chef, Silpada Jewelry, Take Shape for Life, Longaberger, Thirty-One, Mary Kay, Scentsy, Home America, Tupperware, Lia Sophia, Avon and Creative Memories at Pleasant Grove Christian Church Saturday, April 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The church is located three miles west of Needmore on Pleasant Grove Road. Homemade pies, soup and sandwiches will be available along with homemade Easter candy for sale to benefit the ladies group.

New York City Trip Modern Woodmen of American Camp 7948 is sponsoring a bus trip to New York City Saturday, May 7. The bus departs McConnellsburg courthouse at 6 a.m. A stop will be made for breakfast at 8:15 a.m. and arrival in New York City at 11:30 a.m. Depart New York City near the Times Square area at 6:30 p.m. and a stop will be made halfway home for supper. Estimated arrival back in Mc- Conellsburg is 12:15 a.m. Cost for transportation and a buffet breakfast is $55 per person. Alumni Gym Open The alumni community gym in Mc- Connellsburg will be open from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for anyone who would like to get some exercise, walk or run. This is a free activity and open to all ages. If the Central Fulton School District is closed because of the weather, the gym will not be open. Any questions, please call Kathy J.
