Crash Leads To DUI Charges

A single-vehicle accident along Rock Hill Road on Sunday, March 13, has led to charges of driving under the influence being filed against Adam Nicholas Doyle of Mc- Connellsburg, state police said.

According to police reports, Doyle, 21, was travelling near the intersection of Back Run Road at a “high rate of speed” when he lost control of his 1979 Ford Mustang. The passenger side of the car crashed into a telephone pole.

Police added due to the impact of the crash, the vehicle separated into two halves between the front and and rear seats.

Doyle and his passenger, Bradley Hockenberry, 24, also of McConnellsburg, suffered injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Hockenberry was transported to Fulton County Medical Center. Both men were wearing seat belts during the 3:30 p.m. crash.

State police were assisted on the scene by Lilley’s Towing, the McConnellsburg Volunteer Fire Co., McConnellsburg EMS and fire police.
