Car Hits Crystal Spring Man

A Crystal Spring man who was standing along Interstate 70 after being involved in an accident was struck by an oncoming vehicle on March 6. State police in Bedford said 29-year-old David L. Grimm II of Crystal Spring was treated by Raystown EMS and transported to Altoona Hospital for additional treatment of extensive injuries.

Grimm was standing in the right-hand, eastbound lane in East Providence Township speaking with Margaret M. Ohara, 19, of Greensburg, who was partially parked in the right lane in a 2008 Nissan Versa.

An oncoming 2003 Chevrolet Corvette operated by Edward M. Myszak, 27, Middle River, Md., struck the right rear corner of a 2006 Honda Civic driven by 28- year-old Michelle S. Meeks, of Concord, Va. Following impact, the Corvette then struck Grimm as well as the open driver’s door of Ohara’s vehicle. The Corvette also struck a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse. Police did not provide the driver’s name of the Eclipse.
