Elderly Wolf Captured Nearly 2 Weeks After Escape
MOUNT BETHEL, Pa. (AP) – An elderly wolf that escaped from captivity is back at a Pennsylvania wildlife rehabilitation center after nearly two weeks on the lam.
The wolf named “Baby Martin’’ escaped from its one-acre enclosure on February 28 after a tree fell on a fence. But now he’s back with his owners after a man reported seeing him on his property about 10 miles away from the wolf’s longtime home.
Tom Nelson used a tranquilizer gun to capture the 13-year-old wolf Wednesday afternoon and return him to Pennsylvania Raptor and Wildlife Association.
The animal was not considered dangerous.
