Carolyn Detwiler was a patient in the Chambersburg Hospital last weekend. We wish her a speedy recovery.

Roger and Patty Ramsey were visited last week by Brian and Micah Ramsey and Ronnie Horne.

A new Zumba class is starting at the old Saltillo High School on March 19 from 1 to 2 p.m.

Many Maddensville folks were without electricity on Thursday evening during the rain and wind storm. We are thankful for the Valley Rural crew that restored our power. It is amazing how quiet it can be with no television or motors running, almost eerie.

Pat Ramsey and Karen Grissinger enjoyed an early spring outing to Hagerstown on Saturday with lunch at the Olive Garden.

Visiting recently with the Steve and Karen Grissinger family were Dan Jenakovich, Travis Madden, Donna Locke, Tom and Mamie Streightiff, and Brent Carlson.

Terri Grissinger spent this weekend in Harrisburg with four FFA students attending the state legislative leadership conference.

Tyrel Greenland, son of Gary and Anita Greenland, is in Afghanistan for a few months and will enjoy hearing from home. His address is 455 EAMXS/ F- 15E/RECCE BAF APO, AE 09352.

Southern Huntingdon County High School presented the musical Fiddler on the Roof this past weekend. Congratulations to all the participants on a job well done.

Forbes Road Junior and Senior High School Drama Club will be presenting the musical “ Footloose” on March 17, 18 and 19 beginning at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will hold shooting matches at the fire hall every Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. until further notice. The fire company ladies auxiliary is now accepting reservations for banquets, parties and events. The fire company also has a food trailer for public sales and events.

Open stage will be held at the firehall on Saturday, March 26 beginning at 6 p.m. The kitchen will open at 5 p.m. Everyone is invited to come out and share their talent or enjoy the talent of others.
