Train Kills Man In Wheelchair
PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Police in Philadelphia say a man in a wheelchair trying to cross train tracks was killed when the chair apparently got stuck on the tracks and he was hit by a train.
Police said the man was trying to cross the tracks at 24th and Vine Streets in the Logan Square section of the city shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday.
WPVI-TV says the man was in his 40s and was apparently trying to access a jogging trail along the Schuylkill River. Police said the man was struck by a CSX train, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
