Petitions urging three county physicians to stay in the community were presented to the doctors and to the Medical Center board president, Phil Prager, and Center CEO Scott Berlucchi on Friday. Doctors Susan Peck and Steven Sheppard, partners in Mountain View OB/GYN, and Michael Peck, a family practioneer, said last week they planned to leave the community to practice elsewhere. The petitions with more than 1,100 signatures supporting the doctors and asking the Medical Center to take action to keep the doctors in the community were presented by attorney James Schall as head of an ad hoc citizens group that collected the signatures.

JLG Industries Inc. has reported a decline in sales and a net loss for the second quarter and first six months of its 1991 fiscal year.

The front nine holes at Great Cove Golf Club are now open for play and though the clubhouse is not yet open for business, the pro shop is, with golf pro Ira Kramer on hand to welcome those golfers who can’t wait for the official opening on April 1.
