Grace Howell, of 5859 Pleasant Ridge Road, will be celebrating her 91st birthday on March 12. She would enjoy having cards sent. Last year she received 112 cards.

Sharon Glazier, Dorothy Mellott and Annabelle Mellott of here and John and Susan Mellott Myers of Chambersburg met with other relatives for a birthday luncheon at Sunnyside Restaurant in Carlisle last Tuesday.

St. Stephen Family Life Committee is sponsoring a Grandma Ann’s spring apple and cherry pie sale on Saturday, March 26, at the church.

Jane Lamison of Cooper Lane had the misfortune of breaking her leg last week going to her mailbox.

Congratulations to the Southern Fulton boys basketball team on capturing the District 5 Class A championship last Friday night at Pitt-Johnstown, beating Shade 51- 38. Southern Fulton girls also captured the district title Saturday against Berlin 46-32.

Franklin/Fulton County held its annual spring choral concert on Saturday at Greencastle High School with the three county schools participating.

Donald Ray recently fell and broke his hip. He is now home recuperating. After he recuperates, he will undergo heart surgery.

Sympathy goes out to the family of Mary Sipes, who passed away Sunday after a battle with cancer.

Evelyn Black Zentmyer and family of the Chambersburg area attended the church worship service at St. Paul Lutheran Church on Sunday when they dedicated the new white paraments she and her family gave in memory of her parents, the late Luther and Pearl Black.
