Visiting recently with the Steve and Karen Grissinger family were Travis Madden, Ramon Martin, Donna Locke, Tom and Mamie Streightiff, Brent Carlson and Buzz and Bea Covert.

Adam Locke hosted a birthday party for Amanda Locke on Saturday evening. Attending the party were Cameron, Toryn and Brayden Locke, Gordon and Donna Locke, Dave and Linda Schauf and Matt, Crystal, Logan, D. J. and Abby Schauf and friend Justin Kauffman.

George and Heather Locke enjoyed dinner with Gordon, Donna and Justin Locke and Irene Park this past week.

Buzz and Bea Covert were visited by Tammy Grissinger last Saturday.

Tom and Mamie Streightiff visited with Kenny, Kristi and Jase Watkins on Sunday evening.

Angel Wings will be hosting a second annual spring fling craft show on Saturday, March 12, and Sunday, March 13, at the Orbisonia Lions building. There will be 17 local vendors and good food available both days.

There will be a cash party at the Shade Gap auxiliary building on Saturday, March 26. Tickets are available from any Shade Gap Fire Co. or auxiliary member, as well as at Penn Central P.T. and Wakefield’s Auto Parts in Shade Gap.

Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will hold shooting matches at the firehall every Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. until further notice. The fire company ladies auxiliary is now accepting reservations for banquets, parties and events. The fire company also has a food trailer it takes to public sales and events.

Afghans of the Hustontown area are still available at the firehall. The afghans are available in three colors and feature 11 different landmarks. They can be purchased by calling 717-987- 3108 or 717-987-3511.

Daylight Saving Time begins this weekend. Hopefully the snow will be gone, and we can get some muchneeded outside work done. (Outside work that doesn’t include shoveling snow would be great.)
